The Pop Star Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
The celebrated musician is gearing up for a substantial film presence in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, the artist plays what she calls as a dark version of her own persona.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, the performer commented.
She clarified in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, however the inspiration stemmed from the pressure to produce one.
An Early Look into The Project
The debut trailer, launched on this week, blends actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined backstage scenes.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who explained that the narrative focuses on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices during the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

A Busy Film Calendar
The film is just one of many future movie projects for Charli, who already featured in three cinematic festival entries in the current year.

Future Ventures
Next year will also include the star alongside Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.
She recently agreed to feature in the star’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.
I am really enjoying my foray into acting, she stated. I feel very, very inspired currently in acting, and I always aim to pursue projects that excite me.
Musical Contributions
February will also include the debut of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from the artist.
She will also provide music for the drama Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release soon.
The mockumentary is set to premiere on January 30.
