The carrier is introducing free fast onboard wifi by way of space-based deal

Flyers flying with British Airways are set to use fast connectivity in the air without charge following a major partnership with the billionaire's communications firm.

No-cost plus High-speed Wifi Available to Everyone

British Airways stated that this complimentary, “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity offering through the satellite provider will be offered to customers flying coach, business, or first class from the coming month.

Broad Deployment Over Several Airlines

The holding firm for the airline, the airline group, confirmed it had secured an deal involving SpaceX to offer wifi coverage for more than 500 aircraft operated by the group's carriers, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.

Smooth Internet starting at Boarding to Arrival

The airline noted that this introduction of this service formed part of a seven billion pound “modernization” program and would deliver smooth connectivity service to travelers starting at the gate through arrival, also when they are flying above oceans or isolated areas.

Existing Wifi Services
